The AL1020 is an audio/video encoder for T-DMB, the digital broadcasting standard chosen by the French audiovisual council (CSA). The encoder accepts digital or analog audio and video input and delivers a T-DMB over IP signal (EDI, DCP) that can be used directly by a DAB multiplexer. The AL1020 comes in several versions for:
- basic digital radio applications, with aacPlus audio encoding, DLS, downmix and resampling possibilities.
- insertion of static or video images from live video input or an FTP server.
- high-end deployments with dynamic BIFS insertion for interactivity (MPEG-4 Core2D with BIFS update, carouseling, etc.).
The AL1020 is entirely manageable via SNMP and can be integrated in any existing management system.
Allegro T-DMB encoders have been developed in close cooperation with leading radio broadcasters and editors in France and other European countries. Located near its customers and partners, Allegro can meet their special needs and guarantee easy integration and interoperability of its flexible encoders in existing broadcasting systems.
