ALLEGRO WEBINAR Compliance Streams Series #1

October 14, 2020

This webinar will provide an overview of the fundamentals and trends of video coding, including the motivation for using video compression, the basic principles and ideas from acquisition of the video footage through coding and transmission to the display.

This first Series of Allegro DVT CS Webinars will specifically focus on the aspects that concern the encoding and decoding process and what differentiates them apart. The fundamental concept and the main building blocks of an encoder and decoder will be explained.

We also aim in this webinar to introduce the history of video codecs and how they have evolved to the present day. The trends in the video coding will be discussed in greater detail and we will follow on by sharing our outlook for the next generation video IPs.
