Replay - Allegro DVT Webinar Compliance Streams

Series #1

Introduction

This webinar provided an overview of the fundamentals and trends in video coding, including motivation for using video compression, basics and ideas from video acquisition through coding to display.

This first series of Allegro DVT CS webinars focused specifically on aspects of the encoding and decoding process and what makes them different. The fundamental concept and main components of an encoder and a decoder were explained.

This webinar also aimed to present the history of video codecs and their evolution up to the present day. Trends in video coding were discussed in more detail and we went on to share our perspectives for the next generation of video IP.
